is copper clad aluminum wire good?

1. Copper clad aluminum wire has good transmission performance. It is a fact that copper clad aluminum is a manifestation of the progress of cable technology;
2. Copper clad aluminum wire cannot fully replace pure copper wire. It can only be replaced in certain places (such as network cables and coaxial cables). Copper clad aluminum is expensive to process, and aluminum reinforcement will inevitably reduce the transmission performance of aluminum;
3. Copper clad aluminum wire is not suitable for strong and weak current systems such as power and control, and can only be used for medium and high frequency communication cables, not for low frequency power systems;
4. The principle of copper clad aluminum wire used in medium and high frequency communication systems is the same as that of copper clad steel. It uses skin effect (high frequency network cables have more advantages) and proximity effect, but it cannot be said that the performance is better than pure copper wire. But the cost is much lower;

5. The skin effect of power control cables is negligible. Of course, copper-clad aluminum is better than aluminum, because there is copper! But the cost is higher.

Copper clad aluminum wire is bound to be widely used, but it is a foolish act to follow the trend when using power control cables. I believe that in the near future, the use of copper-clad aluminum in telecommunications will surely show a prosperous scene.
